Hannas body of work reflects her interest in how landscapes, ideas, myths, and geography are experienced by explorers and skeptics. She incorporates found and recycled items such as plastic bags, foil, discarded maps, and rejected print proofs into her work. Through the process of finding and selecting her materials, she brings the direct experience of exploring a landscape into the final image. Hanna Coy is an artist and hydrologist who lives in Tucson, Arizona. She has studied ecology and evolutionary biology, watershed management, and studio art at the University of Arizona.
